Sun rays

light_spectrumThe solution is light, Germicidal UV-C light. Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) is a sterilization method that uses ultraviolet (UV-C) light to break down micro-organisms, it replicates the natural purification system of the sun by destroying the allergy and disease causing pathogens. It is used in a variety of applications today, such as food, air and water purification. UVGI is not a new technology for disinfection; it has been used since the late 1880’s to kill micro organisms. After World War 2, it was heavily used in hospitals, food storage and pharma plants.  It was used in the 1950’s against the war on Tuberculosis.  In the 1960’s concerns against microbes lessened with the introduction of new drugs (anti-biotics) and harsh cleaners.  UV-C is making a comeback due to the emergence of many Super bugs which are increasing at an alarming rate.  The age of antibiotics is coming to an end.  Yet still, UV-C light is able to kill 99.99% of any and every Bacteria, Virus and Super Bug known with no chemicals or residue making this product a truly GREEN product.

UVC-dna-helix-webWhat we at No-touch do is flood a room, area or item with an intense UV-C light.  This light breaks the DNA chain inside the micro-organisim making it unable to replicate, therefore it dies.  Unlike anti-biotics, which work similar to disrupt the inner workings of micro-organisims, they will never be able to adapt or build up an immunity to UV-C light….Ever.
